A vintage French pitcher modelled as a mallard duck, standing on a grassy green base with its head tipped back and beak open. The glaze runs from deep blue-green on the head to a brown breast, with a green wing and a pale belly. The tail feather rises into a handle, and there is a pouring opening and lip at the back, so it works as a jug on the table or as a vase for flowers.
Vintage condition: glossy glaze with light wear and small marks.
