About
Curiosité opened its doors in the summer of 2022. It's a small world of joie de vivre distinguished by the love for colour, patina and old wood. It draws inspiration from Bitossi’s Rimini Blue-series, Picasso’s ceramics, robust stripy fabrics, Van Gogh’s sunflowers but also French country kitchens, Parisian bistros and galleries.
Curiosité holds French antiques and vintage at its heart. However the shop also features selected new objects with a focus on craft. Soaps and scented candles from Menton, textiles, lavender, ceramics from Provence and mouth-blown glass from Paris.
All the older objects, from furniture to small interior details, mirrors, glass, original art, sculptures and exhibition posters, are handpicked at antique fairs and markets, "brocantes" around France by the shop’s owner, who moved from Paris to Gothenburg in 2020.
