Antique French Terracotta Confit Pot – Ochre Glaze

Antique French confit pot from southern France with a deep ochre glaze reminiscent of the pot featured in Van Gogh’s Sunflowers painting. Made from terracotta with a glazed upper half and unglazed base, as was traditional for storing duck confit in cool cellars. The surface shows wear and age.
