Engelsk ”Key Border”-tallrik, etruskiska vaser – mitten av 1800-talet

A mid-19th century English mulberry transferware plate by Samuel Moore & Co (SM & Co), produced in Staffordshire. Decorated with a bold double Greek key “Key Border”, framing a central motif of Etruscan vases, inspired by classical antiquity.

The “Key Border” pattern was one of the most desirable designs of the period. The plate is underglaze marked with the pattern name above the maker’s mark 24.5cm
